Tokar Estate

Tokar Estate is a family-owned and operated winery, restaurant and cellar door located in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley, founded in 1995 by Leon and Rita Tokar. They planted their first vineyard by the late 1990s and built a Mediterranean-inspired cellar door and restaurant nestled among gently rolling vineyards with sweeping views of the surrounding ranges. The estate covers about 12 hectares of vines and all wines are single-vineyard, estate grown.

Winemaker Martin Siebert (joined in 2012) leads the team in crafting wines that marry structure with the elegance characteristic of the Yarra Valley, with Chloe Earl currently working in the role and the Tokar family deeply involved from vineyard through to bottle. The wine range includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, Prosecco and in particular their signature Spanish variety Tempranillo, which has become a standout in their line-up.

The cellar door operates daily and the restaurant offers modern, seasonally driven, Mediterranean-inspired cuisine designed to complement the wines, with indoor and alfresco seating and panoramic views across the valley. Over time Tokar Estate has built a strong reputation for warm European-style hospitality, evocative wines that show both robust character and refined elegance, and a visitor experience that combines excellent wine, food, scenery and family values.
