De Bortoli Wines
De Bortoli Wines is a prominent family-owned winery with roots stretching back to 1928. Their Yarra Valley Estate was established in 1987 by Leanne De Bortoli and Steve Webber, expanding the De Bortoli footprint into Victoria. The estate comprises several vineyard sites: the main Winery Vineyard at Dixons Creek, plus the Abbey Vineyard at Tarrawarra, and Lusatia Park at Woori Yallock. The soils, aspect, and altitude of these sites help produce cool-climate wines with strong varietal expression.
About De Bortoli Wines
De Bortoli grows a wide variety of grapes in Yarra: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and some less common ones such as Nebbiolo, Pinot Blanc and Gamay Noir. The “Estate Vineyard” and “Single Vineyard” wines focus on quality, often with minimal handling to let the vineyard character shine.
For visitors, there is a cellar door, the Locale restaurant, wine-tasting experiences (including blending, flights, etc.), and beautiful gardens. De Bortoli in the Yarra Valley balances approachable wines for daily drinking with premium single-vineyard offerings, in a setting of strong heritage, scenic vineyards, and good hospitality.
